AKA  Zhucha [zoo-cha]

Translation Zhucha:  Pearl tea.

The tightly rolled leaf resembling pellets gives this tea its distinctive appearance and why it has been coined "gunpowder" green tea.  Also, during steeping the pellets explode into long leaves releasing the flavour and aroma locked inside the pellet.

Considered to be one the longest "keeping" teas, its dark honey coloured liquor is flavoursome and viscous with some palates detecting the slightest hint of smoke.

A green tea with a enough depth of flavour to be paired with meat/vegetables.
