Like green, oolong and black tea, Pu-Erh tea from Yunnan China stands in a catagory of its own. Processed tea (and that can be green, oolong or black tea) undergoes a secondary microbial fermentation. The resulting tea can be left loose or compressed into "cakes". Some Pu-Erh is caved, stored. Unique amongst tea, Pu-Erh improves with age.
This Pu-Erh is young and loose leaf. It has the characteristically earthy taste of a Pu-erh but on the lighter side of older, more mature Pu-Erh.
It is considered to have well being benefits including aiding digestion, lowering cholesterol and improve circulation.
